Jasmine Rodriguez (she/her) is a queer Chicana editor, poet, scholar, and journalist based in Chicago.
She earned her BA in English through the accelerated English program at Northeastern Illinois University. She is currently working on completing her MA in English Literature at NEIU.
She works in five different media outlets as the managing editor and chief copyeditor of the NEIU Independent (campus newspaper) and Que Ondee Sola (Latino-focused magazine), hybrid editor of La Mosca (literary and creative journal), editor of Third Eye Creations (editing services for BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ authors), and graduate assistant of Stateville Speaks (newsletter by and for incarcerated individuals and their families).
Her passion lies in exploring counter-narratives in her writing, particularly those that challenge and disrupt hegemonic oppression.
